A birthday shoot for the queen herself, Charissa!! From the moment she stepped into the studio, glowing in that velvet dress and surrounded by greenery, I knew this shoot would be incredible. The rose gold “33” balloons were the perfect touch- bold, fun, and totally her, and she even brought a birthday cake & candles to blow out to celebrate. As a photographer, it’s a joy to freeze these in-between years. The ones that don’t always get the same attention as the big “decades,” but are just as meaningful. This year, she radiated confidence, kindness, and a sense of grounded celebration that was so inspiring to witness and capture. Watching her laugh, pose, and genuinely enjoy herself reminded me why I love what I do. Portraits like these aren’t just about how someone looks — they tell the story of where they are in life, what they’re celebrating, and how far they’ve come.
