Lavinia's 1st Birthday

1st birthdays man… so many emotions are always involved here. It’s not just about the cake or the balloons- it’s about celebrating a whole year of love, growth, and those unforgettable firsts. This particular session had all of that and more. Lavinia’s grandparents were part of it, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to capture that bond. From the moment they arrived, I could feel how close this family was. Watching her grandparents interact with her, playing peekaboo behind me to get those giggles, and sneaking in kisses between shots was absolutely heart-melting. They weren’t just there to help- they were present, fully soaking in every moment. Having both sets of Lavinia’s grandparents there for her 1st birthday session filled our shoot with so much extra emotion. It adds layers of meaning to the images- love that spans generations, pride that you can see in their eyes, and a kind of joy that only comes from watching your family grow. Caitlin & Jager (Lavinia’s parents) were over the moon entertaining Lavinia during this entire 2 hour session & I love those captures with them as well. But seeing how they were equally so excited to share this experience with their parents warmed my heart & soul. Happy 1st birthday to this sweet girl, and cheers to this tribe who helped make her session so full of heart. Xo
