There’s something so special about photographing love stories in a place that means the most to my couples. For this engagement session, we didn’t go to a big park, a fancy venue, or even a hidden spot off the beaten path- we simply walked through our hometown together, stopping at all of their favorite places along the way. And honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect. Every corner held a memory for them- the café where they stop for coffee at often, the bar & street they’ve walked down after several Friday night dates, the book store aisles that they browse together, & the high school they both attended. As a photographer, my favorite part of sessions like this is watching those places come alive through their eyes. The smiles, the inside jokes, the way they pointed out details that may seem small to others but are such a big part of their story—it all made the photos feel deeply personal and real. It felt less like a photoshoot and more like a stroll through their love story. They laughed, held hands, reminisced, and dreamed about what’s next all while I got to capture it in the most natural, authentic way. These are the sessions that remind me why I love what I do. Photos are more than just pretty backdrops—they’re about telling a story, and this story was written right here in the heart of the place they call home. There is so much to come with capturing this couple & I can not wait to share with you all their beautiful moments. Xo
