Every now and then, a photo session comes along that just really takes me for the most perfect ride… because photography isn’t just about perfect smiles and picture-perfect poses. It’s about personality, laughter, and sometimes… leaning fully into the awkward. This couple decided they wanted their session to be intentionally quirky, filled with the kind of awkward poses you’d see in old school prom photos or those hilarious family portraits we all secretly love. From stiff arm placements to exaggerated gazes into the distance, they nailed every single “cringe-worthy” pose in the best way possible. Instead of focusing on looking flawless, they chose to celebrate their connection by laughing together through the entire shoot. And honestly? Those genuine belly laughs, the way they couldn’t stop smiling at each other in between silly poses—that’s the real magic. Photography doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes it’s about letting go, being ridiculous, and creating memories that are just as fun as they are unique.
